G40 - Tool Compensation Cancel

Cancel tool radius compensation.

G40 is a G-code used to cancel the cutter radius compensation. Cutter radius compensation is a feature that allows the machine to adjust for the radius of the cutting tool when performing certain operations. By canceling the cutter radius compensation, the machine will move in a straight line from the programmed point to the point of actual cut, rather than following a path that compensates for the radius of the tool.

The G40 command is typically used before or after a specific operation, such as drilling or boring, to ensure that the machine is moving in a straight line and not following a path that compensates for the radius of the tool.
