User Interface - 3D

Multisample

When enabled, multisampling is applied to reduce the aliasing effect of rendered toolpath.

Example:Multisampling enabled

Example:Multisampling disabled

Depth Test

When enabled, 3D objects will consider the depth perception when interacting with displayed toolpath.

Example: When enabled, displayed toolpath will consider if the 3D object is positioned at front/back of the toolpath

Example: When disabled, displayed toolpath will not consider if the 3D object is positioned at front/back of the toolpath

Workspace

Axis Thickness

Thickness of axis lines/dots of work position origin.

Dots/Line

Origin can be represented either with lines or dots.

Example: Work origin using lines and thickness of 3.5

Example: Work origin using dots and thickness of 1.5

Limits Thickness

Thickness of machine limit envelope lines/dots.

Dots/Line

Machine limits can be represented either with lines or dots.

Example: Machine limits using lines and thickness of 2

Example: Machine limits using dots and thickness of 3.5

Grid Thickness

Thickness of workspace grid lines/dots.

Dots/Line

Workspace grid can be represented either with lines or dots.

Example: Workspace grid using lines and thickness of 3

Example: Workspace grid using dots and thickness of 2.5

Extents Thickness

Thickens of toolpath extents.

Dots/Line

Extents can be represented either with lines or dots.

Example: Extents using lines and thickness of 1.5

Example: Extents using dots and thickness of 2

Gauges

Gauges display absolute axis position.

X,Y,Z,A,B,C,U,V,W

Each axis gauge can be enabled or disabled in the 3D view.

Example: Gauges for XY and UV are displayed

Enable: Tool Sensor

User can enable/disable display of Tool Sensor in the 3D view. Tool sensor will be displayed at position configured in settings.

Enable: G28 position

User can enable/disable display of G28 position in the 3D view.

Enable: G30 position

User can enable/disable display of G28 position in the 3D view.

Toolpath

Thickness

With this parameter you can set thickness of displayed toolpath.

Example:Displayed toolpath with Thickness parameter set at 1.2:

Displayed toolpath with Thickness parameter set at 2:

Alpha and Traverse

This parameter will affect displayed toolpath in such way, that toolpath at highest Z level will be less transparent than the one at the lowest Z level. This way user gets better sense of depth of displayed toolpath. This also helps with better overall presentation of toolpath.

Example:Displayed toolpath with Alpha parameter set at 1:

Example:Displayed toolpath with Alpha parameter set at 0.1:

Resolution

This parameter sets tolerance for which displayed toolpath is allowed to deviate from actual toolpath. Units for this parameters are millimeters. Please note that this parameter will only affect the displayed toolpath.

Example:Display resolution set to: 0.01mm

Display resolution set to: 0.8mm

Hide Sub Level

Gcode programs can include sub-procedures, external sub-procedure files as also g-codes using scripted behaviour. With this setting parameter user can enable/disable display of sub-procedure, external sub-procedure or scripted g-code toolpaths.

Hide Sub Level value represents the sub level of sub-routine from which on toolpath will not be displayed. So if we use a 4 sub level g-code program and inserted value is 2, this means that toolpath for levels 3-5 will not be displayed.

Example: Gcode program below uses o-word sub-procedures. If we look closer at the g-code we can see that this is a 4 level sub procedure g-code program, with main program being level 0.

Toolpath for program above, displayed in its entirety (each sub level is represented with circle):

If we set Hide Sub Level value to 3, then toolpath for sub levels 3 and further, will not be displayed (only sub procedures levels 1 and 2 are displayed):

Subs

Sub procedures can also be standalone gcode files which are called from main program. This option disables display of external file sub-procedure toolpath.

Example:Gcode program below calls external standalone sub-procedures:

Toolpath for program above, displayed in its entirety (each sub procedure is represented with a number:

If we enable Subs option, then toolpath for standalone sub procedures will not be displayed:

MCode

This option will enable/disable display of M gcode script code.

Enable: Tool Offset

This feature when enabled will show normal toolpath without consideration of the tool offset and corresponding height compensation move(if tool change is used in gcode). When disabled, gcode using toolchange will be displayed so that all tool offset compensation moves and different heights will be considered and displayed.

Example: Toolpath of gcode using toolchange and different tool offset values with this feature disabled

Example: Toolpath of gcode using toolchange and different tool offset values with this feature enabled

Enable: Hover

When enabled, if you hover with mouse cursor over the toolpath segment, the entire corresponding segment of toolpath will be highlighted.

Enable: Completed

This feature will turn on the coloration of the finished toolpath.

Example: Finished toolpath segment will color green.
