Edit Tool Table - Parameters

General - Offset - Tool Change - Custom - Parameters - Speed & Feed

This tab provides tool geometry configuration of the selected tool.

These values will be used for calculation of Feed and Spindle speed values under Speed & Feed tab.

Different tool types have different parameters.

Tool Type
This value is copied from the General tab, under Tool Type.

Material
Select material from which the tool is made.

Coating
If tool is using coating, select type of coating from drop down menu.

Coolant

• None - No coolant.
• Std. - Standard cooling.
• TSC - Trough spindle cooling.
• TSCHP - Trough spindle high pressure cooling.

Diameter (D)
Tool diameter. This value is copied from the General tab diameter value.

Total Len. (TL)
Total length of the tool.

Length (SL)
Tool Length, measured from the from the face of tool holder.

Shank Dia. (SD)
Diameter of the tool shank

Shoulder Len.

Shoulder Dia.

Flute Len. (FL)
Length of the tool cutter area.

Flute Count
Number of cutting flutes of the tool

Corner Radius (R)
Radius a the edge of the cutting flute.

Taper Angle
If tool is a taper tool, this is the angle value.
